On 8th of May, 2013 Pearl Institute (Formerly known as Anatolia Cultural & Dialogue Centre) hosted Professor Naubahar Sharif to give a talk on Science, Technology and Society. In his speech, professor summarized what technology and its development mean in societies for centuries.
He also explained the importance of technology in our society and how technology can change the structure of society in a good or bad way. At the end, he emphasized on how we must keep the balance between technological life and our culture. He said “People make technology, so they are the one who can control it as being masters instead of servants of it. Technology does not have only way to use, we can drive it on our way, we make it useful and beneficial” The event continued with Q&A part and serving refreshments.
