PI shared meat with friends, neighbors and needy!

EVENT DETAILS

Eid al-Adha is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. This is to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) as an act of obedience to God, yet, God intervened this process and provided Abraham with a ram to sacrifice instead of his son. The meat is divided into three parts to be distributed to others.

The family retains one third of the share, the second share is given to relatives, friends and neighbors, and the last share is given to the poor & needy.

In this manner Pearl Institute (Formerly known as Anatolia Cultural and Dialogue Centre) members and volunteers shared their meat with their friends, relatives and neighbors in Hong Kong.

Furthermore PI members and volunteers brought one part of their meat, and they shared this amount with the needy, through PI. PI organized some shelter houses, and old folks house to to share the meat. And even it was the first time the ACDC members were sharing their meat with Hong Kong community in this special feast, but they are very welcomed. Since PI’s conclusion was should share with more people next year’s feast.
