PI CONDEMNS THE TERRORIST ATTACK AT THE ISTANBUL ATATURK AIRPORT

DETAILS

We are all shocked with another ghastly terror that claimed far too many innocent lives and injured many others in Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport. This is the fourth act of terrorism in Istanbul this year and has claimed the lives of 41 people and injured many others. Turkey is a land of many cultures; home to ancient and medieval civilizations and it’s largest metropolitan, Istanbul, has been a crossroads where Europe and Asia meet. Regardless of where an attack occurs, acts of terror and violence damage the peace and harmony we seek universally as humans. We believe that terrorism has no religion. This heinous act of terrorism is an attack against the values that unite us.

Much to our dismay, the last few years have seen a rise in these violent acts of terror, due to political turmoil in Turkey and unrest in the region. We are all the more committed to continuing our mission in the areas of building bridges and facilitating dialogues between people of different backgrounds, in direct opposition to the attempts of terror groups to set a divisive agenda and instill fear in our communities.

As Pearl Family we are deeply affected and saddened by this occurrence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these tragedies and we wish a speedy recovery to all who were injured.  We would like to extend our sincere sympathy, condolences and prayers to the families and those impacted by the horrible tragedy.

We mourn with you,
