Pearl Institute

Pearl Institute is a sub-branch of Anatolia Cultural and Dialog Center focused on promoting harmony and dialogue. It was established in 2015 by a group of dedicated volunteers as a charitable organization. It holds tax-exempt status according to section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.

Pearl institute strives to promote social cohesion by fostering civic conversations and sustained relationships between people of different cultures and faiths.

ACDC designs and executes projects that cover social welfare, education, poverty and conflict resolution issues in collaboration with scholars, activists, artists, politicians and religious community leaders.

Pearl Institute views its mission as:

Developing social capital—the formation and extension of positive connections within and between disparate social networks to achieve mutual understanding and common commitments to enriching the social good

Promoting cross-cultural awareness in order to attain peace and diversity within our neighbourhoods at various levels and help establish a better society where individuals love, respect and accept each other as they are

Recognizing and honouring the specific differences that distinguish individuals and cultural groups, yet seeking the common principles and values through which they can be harmonized

Encouraging dialogue between various cultural, spiritual, ethical and belief traditions to find a common ground where compassion can be restored and collaborative action can be initiated

Organizing and actively participating in social responsibility projects

Contributing to the cultivation of consciousness toward our shared physico-biological environment and working on issues pertaining to environmental ethics and related topics

Prompting scholarly research and intellectual discussion on how to fight poverty, social conflicts, lack of access to education and support universal values.

Pearl Institute defines its approach as:

Contribute to China’s and Hong Kong SAR’s, in particular, diverse and multicultural atmosphere by service and active involvement in social life

Help build an enlightened society full of hope, opportunity, virtues, justice and peace.

Our Principles:

As Pearl Institute, we neither advocate a particular ideology nor have a specific agenda, other than respect and genuine concern for the spiritual quality of life and welfare on earth.

We accentuate our stance as a non-partisan organization; however, in the main we support activities related to and aiming at a better service to humanity, such as promoting conflict settlement within and between nations. As such, we commit ourselves to universal values of freedom, justice, democracy and the rights of all living beings.

Pearl Institute opens doors to all willing to work with us and supporting the work of organizations and individuals in furthering peaceful relations, respect, and understanding between people of different faiths, beliefs and ideologies. We make efforts to be absolutely inclusive and deny participation to no one.

We are equally open to supporters and advocates of all views and strive to be a platform for a free flow and exchange of opinions. We bring focus to recognizing and honouring the specific differences that contribute to positive diversity, yet seek the common principles and values through which they can be harmonized.
