Iftar Dinner with Hon. Emily Lau Wai-hing & Hon. Sin Chung-kai from Legco

EVENT DETAILS

The month of Ramadan is coming to an end but as usual our iftar dinners are going on well. On Friday, PI (Formerly known as ACDC) hosted highly distinguished guests.

We had the honor of hosting Hon. Emily Lau Wai-hing & Hon Sin Chung-kai from Legislative Council of Hong Kong.

The guests were warmly welcomed in PI. After the sunset, delicious and mouth watering Turkish food was served to our respected guests.

The Turkish community was also there to welcome the guests and give them a memorable company full of smiles and cheerful conversations.

After the main meal, one of the volunteers of PI made a brief presentation about Ramadan and its importance in Muslims’ daily life. He introduced the concept of fasting among Muslims and its communal and individual importance.

Later another volunteer who possesses great Turkish calligraphic skills took the spotlight and wrote the names of our respected guests in unique Turkish calligraphic art and presented them as souvenir.

At the end, there was a group photo marking our memories.

We would like to heartily thank Hon. Emily Lau Wai-hing & Hon Sin Chung-kai for attending the program and enjoying the iftar dinner with us.

We, ACDC, strive to bridge the gaps among the societies and unite them for mutual good.

We are thankful to all the people who attended the iftar dinner and wish to keep collaborating with them in the future.
