Iftar Dinner with IUHK Board and Trustee

EVENT DETAILS

For Muslims, Ramadan is the time of reflection and prayer. Ramadan is not only time for spiritual growth and personal reflection;it is also time to strengthen community ties.

As have been organizing Iftar dinners to strengthen our ties with our friends in different faiths and traditions, Pearl Institute (Formerly known as Anatolia Cultural and Dialogue Centre) organized an iftar dinner for the Executive Committee, Board and Trustee of Islamic Union of Hong Kong on 7th of July 2014.

In our own little way, by sharing plates of food with our neighbors, we are extending hospitality to others, building a sense of community, offering nourishment and supporting our neighbors, who are all a part of our extended family. While we are not going to affect the world with our small acts of sharing, if neighbors everywhere took the time to talk with each other, to share, to not judge, to offer support, to care about the well-being of the community as a whole, the world would be a much different place.
